A few people have been commenting that liked the layout and background of my blog. I wish I could take credit for it, but alas, I found it online. Actually I found it from a Spanish website, so occasionally you may see some bits of Spanish. I got it from Blogs Made in Spain but the main page for templates is btemplates.com. In fact as I just looked to get the address I found another one I like even better!!!

A little about Mespo
Some people might be visiting this site that are not familiar with our tiny school. Mespo (short for Mesopotamia) is a very small rural community. We have many Amish families and other families that operate farms and other small home businesses. Our district has about 350 students, 200 of which are at our Elementary School (grades prek-5). Our high school, which is grades 6-12 is located in North Bloomfield (about 5 miles down the road). Mespo has a "Commons" that invites many visitors. Below are a picture of our "End of the Common's General Store" and a Large Horse and Buggy Sculpture made by a local YSU student.
Mespo Math Tips
Mespo Math Tips has been created. The goal of Mespo Math Tips is to "help students and parents alike refresh, relearn, and remember math." These tips are audio files that students and parents can listen to to help them understand what's going on in math class. Ideally there will be a new tip each week but that may fluctuate based on classroom activities. Text versions of the tips are also available. Currently there are 3 tips. You can subscribe to the feed, or listen to each separately.
We have also created an email address MespoMath@gmail.com that you can write to, to ask your math questions. This is also a place to suggest other topics for the Mespo Math Tips. The tips are currently aimed at the students and parents of the 4th and 5th grades, but there is a possibilty of expansion.

New Blog
Well, it appears this summer I am learning a lot about blogging. This will be the 4th one I've created, and now I'm thinking of creating one more. After this class is over, I do plan on editing this a bit, I don't think my students need to see ALL that personal information. :) I've been searching for good links for my math students and hope this will be a way to share those places.
Most of the links on the left work. I have not yet created the Tech Blog (for Mespo) or the Tech page but all the rest should work. I do however have a separate Tech Blog for another class.
